Lauren Ritz.
Lauren grew up in her father's woodshop, learning carpentry and fine millwork from the people who build things. Her mother was a fine artist. That pairing — craft and creativity — is the foundation of everything she designs.
She studied Theatre & Film Set Design before the impermanence wore on her. Interior design let her work with permanent spaces and real families. Today, her Squamish studio is known for being the real deal — grounded, authentic, and well respected by the contractors she partners with.

That ethos runs through every project. We work for the family — not for a style, not for a brand. A home on Sunridge looks nothing like a townhouse in East Vancouver or a dental practice in Squamish — because the people who live and work in them don't either.
From first drawings to a studio on 3rd Avenue.
Studio founded in Squamish, BC
Lauren opens LRD Studio on 3rd Avenue. First projects are family homes across the Sea to Sky corridor — Whistler renovations, Pemberton new builds, Squamish interiors.
Commercial work begins
The studio takes on its first commercial project — bringing the same material-led, people-first approach to workspaces, hospitality, and retail.
Western Living Home of the Year — Top 5 Finalist
A Whistler home is recognized in Western Living magazine's annual Home of the Year awards, placing in the top five nationally.
